Un genio scomparso, una cartelletta con appunti spariti e ritrovati, una nave diretta verso il Sud America e, sullo sfondo, Napoli. Dietro le quinte della città partenopea personaggi apparentemente secondari e rimasti in ombra troppo a lungo riemergono, sorprendentemente, per interpretare un ruolo inatteso e forse rivelatore. La sparizione nel 1938 del fisico Ettore Majorana resta ad oggi un enigma insoluto, reso più inquietante da alcuni dettagli venuti alla luce solo recentemente ed esposti con piglio scientifico da Salvatore Esposito in questo libro. La cattedra vacante è quella lasciata da Majorana, "Grande Inquisitore" (così era chiamato nel gruppo di Enrico Fermi, il "Papa") dai giudizi taglienti, studioso che precorse i tempi e che non volle comunicare al mondo i risultati raggiunti nell' ambito della Fisica teorica. L' autore del volume in cui la voluta assenza di un' analisi psicologica del personaggio Majorana lascia spazio alla convinzione che siano stati i fatti ponderabili ad aver mosso l' animo dello studioso siciliano, e non viceversa, ci narra le brillanti intuizioni di uno scienziato puro, dal carattere difficile ea disagio nella vita quotidiana. Lungo il viaggio che conduce dalla romana Via Panisperna a Napoli (luogo dell' ultimo avvistamento certo), con approdo finale a Buenos Aires per seguire le tracce della pista argentina, Salvatore Esposito riannoda i fili di un arazzo che ci rivela un nuovo e insospettato disegno. Impressions
What happens when things interact? What impressions are left behind? What kind of stories do we create to explain the impressions that life leaves? The longer you study existence the more you're going to notice that a lot of things are pressing, bumping, and colliding with each other, and leaving impressions. The events of life leave tracks in our consciousness that inspire us to tell ourselves stories to explain them. The success or failure of your life is all about the story you choose to tell. What you experience is the story you tell yourself and the power to change the story is the power to change your life.
